Twenty years ago my wife and I made wedding cakes for profit. That was before children, of course. Any cakes we have made since then have been gratis for close friends or family. Earlier this summer when we were told that two friends from our congregation in Israel were getting married, we offered to make the cake as a gift to them. The wedding was last night.
